Description
A photo of a white dogwood bloom on a spring day. These blossoms only last about a couple weeks. They are in the Cornaceae family. Most are deciduous trees or shrubs, but a few species are nearly herbaceous perennial subshrubs, and a few of the woody species are evergreen. They blossoms can be white or pink. The white usually has a hint of pink on them. There's an old wise tale that says the cross Jesus was crucified on was made of dogwood. However dogwood trees do not grow in that area and it is not mentioned in the bible.
