Description
A quiet evening with no cars on the Emerson Memorial Bridge in Cape Girardeau Missouri, United States. I took this photo looking down the middle of the bridge. The bridge crosses over the Mississippi River and the other side of the bridge is East Cape Girardeau, Illinois. Built in 2004, it replaced the previous 1929 Cape Girardeau Bridge. They highway that crosses it is hwy 74. It s named after Bill Emerson, a Missouri politician who served in the US House of Representatives from 1981 until his death in 1996. It was also featured in the movie "Gone Girl" in 2014.

I hope you were safe taking this. I can never find anything without a lot of traffic. Well done.
Jennifer White replied:
Yes. There wasn't too much traffic and the center section is wide. I had a flash light I used as it got darker. Thank you!
