I captured this female Cardinal eating on a cold winter day in Springfield, Missouri, United States. Cardinals, are from the family Cardinalidae. They are passerine birds found in North and South America. They are also known as cardinal-grosbeaks and cardinal-buntings. the males are a bright red color, while the females are a more faded, softer color of red. (Some info from Wikipedia)
