Description
Another black and white twilight view of the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge during blue hour just before sunrise in Cape Girardeau Missouri, United States. This cable bridge is beautiful all lit up. The Mississippi River below is flooded from heavy rains during the spring season. The other side of the bridge is East Cape Girardeau, Illinois. Built in 2004, it replaced the previous 1929 Cape Girardeau Bridge. The highway that crosses it is hwy 74. It s named after Bill Emerson, a Missouri politician who served in the US House of Representatives from 1981 until his death in 1996. It was also featured in the movie "Gone Girl" in 2014.
