Description
A quiet black and white early morning view before sunrise of the beautiful Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge in Cape Girardeau Missouri, United States. The lights were still on. The Mississippi River below is flooded from heavy rains during the spring season. The other side of the bridge is East Cape Girardeau, Illinois. Built in 2004, it replaced the previous 1929 Cape Girardeau Bridge. The highway that crosses it is highway 74. It s named after Bill Emerson, a Missouri politician who served in the US House of Representatives from 1981 until his death in 1996. It was also featured in the movie "Gone Girl" in 2014.
