Description
What a beautiful evening at the Bill Emerson Memorial cable-stayed suspension bridge in Cape Girardeau Missouri, United States. The sun is setting behind me casting some pink color on the clouds. Below the river is a flooded Mississippi River. Built in 2004, it replaced the previous 1929 bridge. The road is highway 74 and it connects the states of Missouri and Illinois. It s named after Bill Emerson, a Missouri politician who served in the US House of Representatives from 1981 until his death in 1996. It was also featured in the movie "Gone Girl" in 2014.
