A black and white spring time, long exposure capture taken at the Finley River Dam after a heavy rain. The water was spilling over the dam. This is located in Ozark Missouri, United States. Ozark is just south of Springfield Missouri. Finley Creek / River is a stream in the Ozarks of southern Missouri. The headwaters of the Finley are in Webster County southeast of Seymour. The stream flows west-southwest into Christian County, through Ozark and into the northeast corner of Stone County to its confluence with the James River at the old townsite of Jamesville. The Finley is bridged by Missouri Route 125 at Linden, Missouri Route 14 and US Route 65 in Ozark, and US Route 160 southwest of the old Riverdale dam.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
