Description
A peaceful evening sunset with whimsical clouds in the sky at the Bill Emerson Memorial cable-stayed suspension bridge in Cape Girardeau Missouri, United States. It's funny how the sunlight is making the columns look like it's have orange and half gray. Below the bridge is the Mississippi River which is flooded from heavy rains. Built in 2004, it replaced the previous 1929 bridge. The road is highway 74 and it connects the states of Missouri and Illinois. It s named after Bill Emerson, a Missouri politician who served in the US House of Representatives from 1981 until his death in 1996. It was also featured in the movie "Gone Girl" in 2014.
