Description
A photo looking up at some beautiful wild flower yellow daisies with a clear blue sky in the background. I took this on a summer day at the Springfield Missouri Nature Center. Daisies are part of the the very large asteraceae and sunflower families. There are around 33,000 different species. I'm not sure which ones these are. They were growing in a wildflower field and was taller than me. They were over 6 ft tall.

Beautiful photo, Jennifer. Using the information you gave, I would say these are rudbeckia triloba..they grow 5-6 feet tall in mid-summer and are yellow with the wider spaced petals. There is another type that also grows in Missouri that gets up to 9’ tall but the centers are much more prominent than these ones. Although I’ve never been to Missouri, I use the US wildflowers site quite a bit, which helped me narrow it down. Of course, I may be completely wrong. I do really like this photo in the grayscale, something much different for this kind of flower photo. LF and sorry for the rambling comment
