Description
A white Emden Goose swims in Galloway Creek at Sequiota Park in Springfield, Missouri, United States on a sunny early spring season day. I believe this is a female as they are a little smaller than the male ganders. Emdens are the tallest and largest breed of geese, standing at over three feet in height. Adults have white feather plumage, while those younger than a year might have some grey feathers. The ganders commonly weigh around 24-31 lbs. The females weigh around 20-24 lbs.
