Description
A type of a maple tree grows out through massive granite boulder rocks that sit on top of Saint Francois Mountains at Elephant Rocks State Park. Located in Mark Twain National Forest in the Ozarks in Iron Missouri, this park is filled with massive boulders of pure granite. There are walking trails all around the park and if you love a challenge, you can climb around on the rocks. Some area's are quite the challenge including this spot. The openings between the rocks is probably 20 to 40 feet down. You'll want to wear good shoes.
