Along this railroad train track truss bridge in Talkeetna Alaska is a walkway just wide enough for 4-wheelers. I visited this bridge during a flood. It had been raining for over 3 days and the Susitna River was at flood stage. When the rain slowed down to a sprinkle, I cautiously walked out to the middle over the very power flooding river. The water was so powerful I could feel it against the bridge. Was a scary moment for me as I stood on the old wooden walkway. The railroad bridge was completed in 1923. Back in the 1920's Talkeetna was the most populous city in Alaska.
