This bench is the perfect place to sit as the sky turns shades of beautiful purple and pink during blue hour just before the sunrise along the muddy Mississippi River from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, USA. In the background you can see the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge On the other side of the River is the US state of Illinois. Mississippi River is the second longest River in North America. It flows 2,350 miles from its source at Lake Itasca through the center of the continental United States to the Gulf of Mexico. It is one of the world’s major river systems in size, habitat diversity and biological productivity.
