Description
Beautiful Crocuses bloom for a short time in the spring in Midwest America. It is a perennial that is part of the iris family. Crocuses are native to woodland, scrub, and meadows. They are cup-shaped, solitary, flowers that taper off into a narrow tube. Their colors vary enormously, although lilac, mauve, yellow and white are predominant. The grass-like, ensiform leaf shows generally a white central stripe along the leaf axis. They typically have three stamens.
