Description
At the corner of Main Street and William Street in Cape Girardeau Missouri, USA downtown, there are different historical buildings that are included in the National Register of Historic Places . The large red one is the historic Old St. Vincent's Catholic Church (built in 1853, the first church was built in 1838 and destroyed by a tornado in 1850). To the right you can see the B'nai Israel Synagogue built in 1937. The little memorial park sits in front of the historic Red House Interpretive Center and includes the United States Of America Flag, Missouri State Flag, and Prisoners of War / Missing In Action Flag. Cape Girardeau is part of the Ozarks.
