Description
Hiking during the autumn season along the Buffalo River in Buffalo River National Park in Arkansas, United States. You can see a portion of the really tall bluff in the distance which is what this river is famous for. I took this in the Steel Creek Campground area. Due to lack of rain in the area, the river was pretty low. Arkansas is known as the Natural State. Established in 1972, Buffalo National River is 153 miles long and is one of the few remaining undammed rivers in the lower 48 states. It is one of the most popular floating rivers in the Ozarks. Parts of the bluff reach up to 500 feet in height.
