Description
A night time photo of the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge and a street light lamp post in Cape Girardeau Missouri, United States. I got so excited when it started getting dark and the lights came on. I moved around and took a variety of angles. On the other side of the cable-stayed bridge is East Cape Girardeau, Illinois. Built in 2004, it replaced the previous 1929 Cape Girardeau Bridge. Highway 74 crosses the bridge. It is named after Bill Emerson, a Missouri politician who served in the US House of Representatives from 1981 until his death in 1996. It was also featured in the movie "Gone Girl" in 2014.
