Description
A black and white photo of an early spring season at Edwards Mill at College Of The Ozarks in Hollister Missouri, United States. Edwards Mill is a working grist mill powered by a 12-foot water wheel. Although the mill was built in 1973, it was constructed using timber harvested from older Missouri mills. Students from the College grind whole-grain meal and flour, which may be purchased on site. The Mill houses a weaving studio, where students design and produce rugs, shawls and placemats on traditional looms and hand weave baskets. The basement holds an exhibit of antique milling equipment.
