Description
I photographed these two male Blue Jay's on a bird feeder on a snow stormy day. Makes me think of friends staying by your side even when going through a storm. This was taken in Ozark Missouri, United States then turned it into a digital painting to create a mixed media art piece. The blue jay (Cyanocitta cristata) is a passerine bird in the family Corvidae. They are native to North America and is resident through most of eastern and central United States. They like to eat seeds, nuts, soft fruits, arthropods, and occasionally small vertebrates. They usually get their food from trees, shrubs, and the ground, but they are also known to catch insects. Blue jays like to hide nuts for later consumption. They are sometimes called "jaybird" because of their noisy nature.
